Do you ever feel like Cinderella? Just so tired and over worked? You just want to get your makeup done, get that pretty dress and go to the ball and get wisked away by your Prince Charming? Really do something for yourself rather than for everyone else? Well sorry honey but we're 21st century women we don't need a man to make all our problems away we can do anything for ourselves and makeup is just one of those things.


We've all had that really important social event going on and then you simply cannot get your makeup to look right. Even just a time that you want to be really "glam" so you can feel really good about yourself? I know I love the feeling of being all decked out so I'm going to show you more of an event or night out kinda look that all your friends will envy. The products that I'm going to use are top of the line products just to show you that not everything has to be budget friendly and sometimes you can treat yourself. Girl you know you wanted that new Naked eyeshadow palette last time you were at Sephora, here's your excuse to break down and BUY IT.



This look is totally smokes out the competition and that crease, really giving the vibe of ready to go out for a special event. 

To create this look I used a variety of different higher end beauty products, now don't get to upset when you see the prices kids. This look is well worth it so to start off you need:

If you look back to my previous blog "Being On A Budget Doesn't Mean You Can't Be Beautiful" these prices are drastically higher than the others. These products quality doesn't even compare to those at the drug store, typically when you're paying a higher price you're getting things that are well packaged, well tested typically cruelty free, and produced with quality over quantity in mind.

By far my favorite product in this time up that I couldn't live without is the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, sorry I'm a lashes type of girl. Really thought this mascara is worth every penny, it adds length, color, and volume all in one mascara. Usually at the drugstore you have to use multiple mascaras to achieve that look. This is an all in one stop, use it on a night out for those extra dark and thick lashes like displayed. Almost everyone is aware of what this mascara can do for you it's one of the most talked about beauty products in the beauty community, it is worth it okay? okay.

Another favorite used in this look is the Urban Decay Naked Smokey Palette, yes you're spending even MORE money than you did on the mascara but this brands reputation for blend-ability and pigmentation in their eyeshadows is indisputable. With a Naked line consisting of 5 bestselling eyeshadow palettes it's kinda hard to argue with the facts, they're worth all the money. Personally the Naked eyeshadow palette was the first high end brand makeup I ever bought because I knew I was getting something good there. This line of Naked palettes easily was one of the products that started the massive want for high end makeup and caused such a jump in the beauty industry. Everyone n' their mama was talking about this thing.

    I have a few Urban Decay palettes as well, and they are amazing. I agree that people should splurge on occasion, especially when it comes to something like makeup that we seem to get a lot of use out of. Sometimes you do get what you pay for, and with the Naked palettes, the quality is impeccable.

      I completely agree and when you break down the price $54.00 per 12 shadows it equals out to about $4.50 for each one. In my opinion that is still a very completive price for the quality you're receiving.

    Being a man that wears little to no make-up, this post feels very foreign to me. However I am thoroughly impressed by the attention to detail that you show about the quality to price ratio of these products. You break down the fact that these items are expensive but you also tell us why it's worth it and I can respect that multi-layered informing.

Being On A Budget Doesn't Mean You Can't Be Beautiful

Your ability to create a look doesn't rely only on the price you pay for your products. Some looks can be created with the bare minimum and still look incredibly good. Whether you're going for classy or casual there are lots of good drugstore options available to create your ideal look. Some of my personal favorite brands you may have heard of, brand such as Maybelline, NYX, Colourpop, or Wet & Wild.
