Being On A Budget Doesn't Mean You Can't Be Beautiful

Your ability to create a look doesn't rely only on the price you pay for your products. Some looks can be created with the bare minimum and still look incredibly good. Whether you're going for classy or casual there are lots of good drugstore options available to create your ideal look. Some of my personal favorite brands you may have heard of, brand such as Maybelline, NYX, Colourpop, or Wet & Wild. All these brands offer great products for even greater prices, which is awesome especially if you're an incredibly broke college student who's has "more important" things to buy other than makeup.....yeah guilty as charged.

This look was created with the idea of pop of copper and gold tones on the waterline to add some shimmer.

Now I'm sure you want to know how to achieve a look like this, to start I'm going to tell you the products you need:
  • Morphe 35N Color Matte Eyeshadow Palette, $23.00
  • Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencil Liner in Striking Copper, $7.99
  • Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara, $4.99
  • Colourpop Super Shock Highlighter in Lunch Money, $8.00
  • Covergirl Easy Breezy Brow Powder Kit in Rich Brown, $8.49
  • Covergirl Easy Breezy Brow Shape & Define Brow Mascara in Rich Brown, $3.49
All of these products aren't absolutely necessary to create this look, but the value you receive from some great products is unheard of. Now I want to touch on some of the best values in the bunch including the Morphe 35N Color Matte Eyeshadow Palette contains 35 eyeshadows for only $23, that is less than a dollar for every eyeshadow people. They're well worth the buy as well, they're pigmented and super blend-able. Morphe is known for making some of the best shadows and makeup brushes in the game for hands down the best prices.

Colourpop is amazing as well, they unique almost creamy and putty like formula is a game changer in affordable makeup. The pigmentation they pack in their matte shadows as well as they're shimmery shadows and highlighters is out of this world. I used the highlighter Lunch Money on my inner corner and it is GLOWING. Colourpop always comes to steal the show, not be the opening act.

Do you see those lashes, are they false? Are you able to achieve that false look with any mascara...no? I didn't think so. Well now you can for only $4.99. Every single time I am wearing this mascara people are SHOCKED when they ask if I'm wearing false lashes and the answer is nope just a mascara for $4.99. They create the longest and blackest lashes for less, what more could you ask for?

  1. I really like the look you pictured in this post; it is a subtle everyday look. Also like you said very affordable.

  2. I personally find it hard to find a foundation from the drugstore that offers coverage, and a great deal. Do you recommend any?

    1. Have you ever tried the Revlon Color Stay foundation? The coverage is great, I recommend applying with a beauty blender because if applied to heavily it will get a bit cakey.. Also, Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless is a good drugstore foundation depending on your skin type! Unfortunately I didn't include facial products within the blog but I definitely can if people are interested!!
